불가사리

우리나라 민담으로 전해지는 요괴이며
나라가 혼란스러울 때 나타난다
쇠를 주식으로 하며 다른 모든 것을 먹을 수 있다
먹을수록 크기는 끝도 없이 계속 커진다
악몽과 안 좋을 것들을 밀어내는 미신적인 소문이 있어
각종 건축물에 그림으로 표현이 되어있는 경우를 종종 볼 수 있다
물리적인 방법으로는 죽이는 게 불가능하며 불로 죽일 수 있다고도 전해진다
그래서 죽일 수 없다의 ‘불가사리〔不可殺伊〕’
불로 죽일 수 있다의 ‘불가사리〔火可殺伊〕’의 두 가지 이름으로 불린다
